INAQ strengthens expertise in valuation of private companies

Senior Advisor at INAQ, Sondre Refsnes, has recently participated in the prestigious “Valuation of Private Assets” at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. The course, which focuses on the valuation of private companies and assets, has given INAQ increased expertise in this field, which is an important part of the company’s transaction advisory service offering.

Through participation in this program, Refsnes has gained in-depth insight into valuation techniques and methods for companies in different stages of development, from start-ups to mature businesses facing acquisitions or mergers. The course also provides a deeper understanding of how private markets work and how players assess investment opportunities in different industries and different asset classes.

Valuation in the seafood industry

Valuation is a key part of INAQ’s work, especially in connection with transaction advice for companies in the seafood industry. Norwegian and international aquaculture companies face a variety of factors that affect their market value, including biological conditions, regulations, sustainability, and market trends. Sondre Refsnes and Nina Santi has previously written about how new value drivers, such as environmental impact and technological innovation, are increasingly playing a role in the valuation of Norwegian aquaculture companies(Nye verdidrivere for fremtiden: Om verdivurdering av norske oppdrettsselskap (intrafish.no)).

Through its participation in this program, INAQ is now better equipped to deliver precise and relevant valuations to its clients, helping to strengthen the company’s position as a leading player in advisory services for transactions in the seafood industry.
