INAQ AS was founded on May 2, 2000 as a management company for the private equity company INAQ Invest AS. In 2002, the company was reorganized as a consulting company, focusing on strategy, business development and financial advice.
Since 2002, INAQ has been expanded and now consists of 8 senior advisers and one management coordinator. Our main focus is providing advice to customers nationally and internationally, mainly in the aquaculture and fisheries industry. We have more than 30 years of experience from industry-based consulting and long experience from research in fish health and aquaculture.
The company’s activity has seen strong growth in recent years with good results, making INAQ today a solid and competent consulting company.
INAQ wants to be a preferred partner for companies in relation to relevant issues in the seafood industry. We have a broad composition of advisors who can answer several different issues related to business development, biology, technology and economics in aquaculture and fisheries. All advisors have expertise at the minimum master’s degree level, and several of our advisors and subcontractors have a doctorate.

The bulk of our assignments are carried out for players in the Norwegian seafood industry. We have recently experienced a growing demand for our services internationally as well. Internationally, we have assisted in, among other things, opportunity studies on the breeding of different species, acquisition processes and subsequent business development after acquisition. We have also contributed assignments to verify operational conditions to document standing biomass as well as the potential of the operation as a basis for refinancing.
