Erik Skontorp Hognes – new senior advisor at INAQ

INAQ has recruited Erik Skontorp Hognes as senior advisor within the strategic business area of sustainability and ESG. Erik comes from the position of LCA advisor in Aker Carbon Capture and his first day in INAQ will be March 1st.

Erik Skontorp Hognes has more than 15 years’ experience working with sustainability in Norwegian industries. He has worked both as a researcher and consultant, with a focus on life cycle analysis and sustainability management. As a researcher at SINTEF Ocean, Erik has contributed to calculations of the carbon footprint of Norwegian seafood products. He has also helped a number of companies strengthen their competence in sustainability and establish climate and sustainability reporting.

Erik has a Master of Science degree in materials and energy technology from NTNU, specializing in Industrial Ecology. He is up to date on the latest standards for carbon accounting and new requirements for sustainability reporting.

– I have broad experience from various industries, but with a particular focus on seafood and the marine industries. I have previously worked extensively with life cycle analysis and establishing the carbon footprint of Norwegian seafood products. I have enjoyed working in the seafood industry and I am happy to be back. I really hope to contribute by helping seafood companies move forward with their sustainability work, says Erik Skontorp Hognes.
